A 32mm down recycled crushed concrete, hardcore and asphalt blend which is used as the final subbase layer of a road/hardstanding construction, this material is produced and tested in line with Clause 803 of the Specification for Highway Works. This material is an easily compacted load bearing non-permeable sub-base and back fill i.e. roads, paths, driveways, car parks and structural bases.

An 80mm down recycled crushed aggregate to the Highways Agency specification for capping, 6F5. 6F5 is used to cap off the subgrade or bare subsoil to be used as a base to construct roads and hardstanding areas on top of, it can also be used as a piling mat for a piling rig. The pure concrete version of this product is a higher quality alternative to the hardcore 6F5, and is predominantly pure crushed concrete and fines.

A 40-80mm crushed concrete, hardcore and tarmac without fines, this material is ideal when the ground that you wish to use as a roadway or hardstanding is particularly boggy, muddy or wet. As there are no fines the material is more able to bind with the underlying subsoils to make a hard base.

This is made from crushed limestone, this is a popular aggregate as its easy to manufacture and it is highly cost effective. This aggregate has less fines in than any other Type 1. The largest of this aggregate will be 40mm but it can go right down to a dust product. This is used as a main base layer and meets the approval of the Department of Transport Specification for Highway Works, Clause 803. The main uses of this material is Patios, Building bases, Car Parks, Footpaths, Highways and Driveways.
